Matriculants Encouraged To Submit An Application For NSFAS Funding

Since the 2024 National Senior Certification (NSC) examinations kick-off, Higher{Education and Training Minister, Dr Nobuhle Pamela Nkabane, has reminded all matriculants to seize the opportunity to make an application for funding from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
"The application window will close on 15 December 2024, and you'll find not many days left to post applications. Eligible pupils are urged to apply promptly to secure money support for their post-school education," Nkabane said.
Nkabane extended well wishes to all matriculants, who sat for the National Senior Certificate Exams, with learners writing languages, English and Afrikaans Paper 3.
Nkabane explained this pivotal moment marks the fruits of a long time of hard work and encourages the Class of 2024 to approach their exams with dedication and self-assurance.
With website Just over 880 000 candidates, including 727 121 full-time and 155,215 part-time candidates from across South Africa sit for this calendar year's matric exams, throughout South Africa, Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube, has assured the public on the department's preparedness to administer the tests easily.
Nkabane highlighted a range of prospects accessible in the Post-School Education and Training (PSET) system, that is open up to all matriculants in search of additional education and learning and skills development.
The PSET system includes:
• Community Education and Training (CET) colleges: Supplying skills check here development and general education for students who want to carry on learning.
